How to convert AUD to USD

About the Australian Dollar and the US Dollar
The Australian Dollar (AUD, symbol A$) is the currency of Australia. The US Dollar (USD, symbol $) is the currency of the United States.
Neither currency is pegged to the other, so the figure drifts from one session to the next. The figures here are mid-market reference rates from a public daily feed: the rate quoted in the news, not the rate a retail exchange hands you over the counter.

A monthly salary. A$3,000 a month is 2134.4 USD — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
